Christmas is coming...& so are 2 new promos!

The holidays are fast approaching! I hope everyone is ready!

We’ve got some great promos coming up for the new year - I think you guys will enjoy them! First up, will be a spotlight of AVN nominated films. We do it every year and, of course, we’ll follow it up with the winners once they are announced.

I’ve only got room to spotlight 10 or 12 of the movies that garnered the most nominations but there are several others that you might also want to check out. 2 notable flicks would be Tera Patrick’s Fashion Underground and Brianna Love: Her Fine Sexy Self.

The other promo that I’m very excited about is…we are going to let you decide our next sale. There is a feature on the site that allows you to add favorite starlets to your wishlist.

For a specific time period, we’re going to keep track of the girls who are getting the most adds & a chart will be placed on the homepage for you to follow along as well. At the end, 2 movies from each of the top 5 starlets will go on sale.


This way, if Santa doesn't get you exactly what you wanted...you won't break the bank getting it for yourself!

Both of these promos are scheduled to start after the holidays so be sure to keep an eye out!

Also, new homepage titles went up today and as you know, I like to make you aware of a couple of great titles that for some reason didn’t make that list… So, here you go!

The first would be the latest edition of a popular Zero Tolerance series, Meet The Fuckers #7, featuring the lovely Sasha Grey & Maya Gates on the cover. Zero Tolerance never lets you down so I would expect this title to be no different.

The second would be the newest episode in another series that does incredibly well here at AVU – Taboo #23 from Metro’s Cal Vista. This time around, Penny Flame searches for her missing sister encountering Gina Lynn & Shyla Stylez along the way.

Wicked Pictures, Amy Fisher & Holiday Promos!

Ok, so the holidays are here! We’ve been working really hard on some new promos for you guys this year & I think you’ll really appreciate them.

I’m excited about one in particular - Buy One Get One from Wicked Pictures. We were able to get some popular compilations as freebies when you purchase from a select group of their features. Good stuff too - like The Craving, Operation: Desert Stormy & Coming Home!

Wicked has really strong comps so it’s a win-win for those of you who appreciate that type of adult filmmaking. For those of you who aren’t so sure, it might be a good time to check out a feature knowing that you will get a really good compilation for the deal.

Also, there are a couple of new holiday movies this year for those of you that are interested. Hustler wants you to have a Barely Legal Christmas, while Anarchy Films thinks you might like to Play with Mrs. Claus, in the form of the luscious Trina Michaels.

Aside from that, the new homepage is going up & one of the titles I chose is Amy Fisher Caught On Tape. How does Red Light manage to get all these? This title has had a strong start here – we’ll see how it goes – but I will say, Ms. Fisher looks a lot better than I expected her to!

Boobs & Red Light District

So we’ve got 2 new promos running, Bountiful Breasts & New Releases from Red Light District. The boobs one is pretty self-explanatory…they’re something to be thankful for, right?

The Red Light District one should be interesting though. I’m going to keep it updated with the latest releases as well as pre-sale titles. I wonder how much you guys are interested in pre-ordering porn...? We get a decent response for some titles but others, nothing…until it streets. Definitely not like mainstream stuff.

Anyway, Red Light…I think they get overlooked sometimes but they produce really good quality gonzo and the price cannot be beat. And since they’ve started throwing in free full-length DVD’s…wow. I mean, sure – the free disk is an older movie – but 2 quality gonzo DVD’s for under $18? That’s a tremendous value.

Also, the New Starlets promo got a brand new batch of chicks for you to check out. Titles featuring Kimberly Franklin, Stacy Adams, Kendall Brooks, Xena & Carmel Moore will all be highlighted for the month of November.

Lastly, I’ve picked some new titles for next week – you’ll get a whole week to check those out. But as always, there are titles that don’t make the cut that I like to give a little bit of love to here.

First up is Ashlynn Brooke in Andre Madness’s Ashlynn Goes To College. Cute, new starlet playing a college girl…I don’t really have to say much more about that one, right? Didn’t think so.

Then we have Dreams In White #3 from Private featuring the gorgeous Angel Dark on the cover. This is the third in a series of hardcore anal titles featuring stunning European dressed in virginal white while performing very un-virginlike acts. The trailer looked pretty kinky!

Janine's Pipe Dreams

I’m sure that a lot of you guys know that Janine has stepped away from the adult biz.

I really think that’s too bad. I see a LOT of images of pornstars every single day. And in an industry full of gorgeous women, I honestly think she’s a standout.

Anyway, my reason for mentioning this is that Vivid is streeting her last film today – Pipe Dreams. She appears in 4 scenes - 3 of which are B/G - and it sounds like it gets kind of fetishy. Check it out if you are so inclined & if you like what you see, you can find her entire catalog here - highlights of which would be Maneater, Janine’s Got Male & of course, Pirates.

Solid entries from Jules Jordan (Deep In Latin Cheeks) & Zero Tolerance (Apple Bottomz #4) make the top spots. Alexander Devoe is becoming a sure thing for great ethnic titles here at AVU. And you just cannot ignore a cover with Alexis Texas on it.

The first of two titles that I would say just missed it this week are Anal Teen Tryouts #17 from Devil’s Films. This young lady has what appear to be natural assets. If they are, good for her! If not, her doctor should be proud!

The second would have to be Destiny from New Sensations. Aside from another lovely dark-haired covergirl in Roxy, I’m always intrigued by features from studios that are most known for their gonzo titles. That one is going on my screening list.

AVU Top Selling Titles

Hi all,

Last week, I mentioned the new Jada Fire Squirtwoman title…well apparently someone was listening because it’s got great sales numbers already & I’m expecting to see it hit the top sellers list soon.

Speaking of which, you guys seem pretty well aware of the Top 10 listed on the right side of all our pages, but did you realize that there are 2 other ways to access longer lists of the top movies at AVU?

The little word “More” at the top of the list brings you to the Top 50 ranked on our site. And so you know, that list is based strictly on the last 30 days of sales. There’s no monkey business. We’ve been asked by studios – “How can I get my title on that top 10 list?” Easy! Our customers have to buy more copies of your title! That’s it.

I often wonder if that’s why our top titles differ so much from other sites. Sure, we’ve got some new releases that take off quickly – generally titles that we’ve picked for the homepage or an e-mail spotlight like Lesbian Seductions #15.

But there’s other titles that seem to come out of nowhere – like this 4-hour comp from Adam & Eve. When it came out a few months ago, it sold a few copies here & there…then suddenly it just took off! And now since it hit the list, it just keeps selling.

Anyway, the second link I’m talking about is the one at the bottom of the Top 10 that says “All time top sellers” is just that – a list of the Top 100 movies sold at AVU since the beginning of time…whatever.

Check out both of these charts when you get a chance – some titles have reviews, some don’t – but consider their staying power on the lists to be a recommendation in & of itself.

Oh & don’t forget Halloween is getting closer so if you want to add a different kind of excitement to your seasonal movie watching, you’d better get on that! Homepage update & Elegant Angel

Hello everyone!

As you can see, the new homepage features went up today!

I wanted to get those two Halloween titles up there & so there they are in the top spots – 2 very different movies! The Adam & Eve flick looks like a lot of fun – maybe a great one to slip into your Halloween night film festival. And the frathouse one…isn’t that how you always hoped those college parties would be?

A couple of the releases that juuuust got squeezed out of making this week's homepage are Savanna Samson’s new one & a Latin title from Naughty America featuring relative newcummer Evie Delatosso. (We featured her in our first batch of new starlets.)

It changes constantly depending on what came out & how hot the pre-orders are. I don’t generally pay a lot of attention to it because the stuff is moving fast & I’ll get a look at the titles soon anyway, but today’s update made me do a double-take…

Besides the stellar titles from New Sensations, Zero Tolerance, Evil Angel, & Vouyer Media…the one that really caught my eye was Jada Fire Is Squirtwoman #3. Incredible. Elegant Angel is really knocking it out of the park lately, right?

I know they’ve stepped up their product within the last year or so…but wow. With the latest editions of Buttwoman, Slutwoman & now Squirtwoman, the folks over there are really taking it up several notches at a time. To quote a respected source in my office, “You want to know about Elegant Angel? Honestly, I can’t say a single bad thing about their movies. They’re that good.”

Dolores of My Heart & Dave Navarro's porn debut

Hey there,

New homepage features go up today! Aside from the final Fashionistas & the latest big-budget film from Wicked, be sure to check out Dolores of My Heart. I got a chance to screen some of it and I think it’s a fantastic couples film - production values are high and the scenes I viewed were incredibly sensual.

Also, Dave Navarro’s adult directorial debut, Broken, released this week & starring Sasha Grey. I haven’t seen it but the buzz surrounding it is HUGE.

As always, there are worthy titles that for one reason or another don’t make the homepage. This week the 2 that stand out to me are Andrew Blake’s latest, X #2 and Kevin Moore’s First Person Shooter with Jenna Haze, Rebecca Linares & Tory Lane.

A new promo is up as well – Cougars. Even though it’s not keeping with the Halloween stuff we’ve got going, it’s a pretty hot genre right now!

Halloween promos & new features

Well we’ve just put up several Halloween features. A few more will be starting up in a couple of days. And there’s also two more DVDs releasing next week with the Halloween theme…A gonzo college movie from Shane’s World & a Vampire comedy from Adam & Eve.

I’m going to try to fit at least one of these movies into the homepage somewhere.

And speaking of the homepage, Babysitters looks like the big winner this week. Teagan Presley, Jesse Jane & the trailer has the look of a mainstream movie…I really don’t think you can miss with that.

Much of the homepage chose itself this week…there were just that many great releases. I couldn’t pass up new titles featuring Brianna Love, Tera Wray & Stormy. But unfortunately, that left no room for Annette Schwarz & Belladonna.

Oh! I almost forgot! We’ve been running a new starlet promo! The girls will have 2 of their movies featured for one month. October’s ladies are Micah Moore, Melrose Foxxx, Paige Taylor, Jenny Hendrix, Courtney Page and Desiree Diamond. Be sure to check it out!

Spunk'd The Movie & new features...

Well we tried a new promo spot & Not the Bradys took off! I guess that works!

It’s hit our top sellers list & I'm expecting it to stay there for a bit. You should be seeing a new title in the promo spot shortly – Spunk’d The Movie.

It’s supposed to street next week and the trailer was incredible. The studio is a new one – 69 69 Entertainment but they got a lot of big names for this movie & the production values were impressive – Hillary Scott plays both the Holeson Twins (get it?).

Oh & I’m not sure how many of you guys realize – but our homepage features change every Wednesday. This week’s picks are looking really good – there’s a new Buttwoman, Brianna Love & I got to see the trailer for Filthy Cums First. Wow. It's very, very hot.

It’s pretty tough to pick which new titles make the homepage – I try to get a good mix of genres & pricing - but some weeks there are just so many that I feel kind of bad not including them all!
